To address hygiene and sanitation challenges among female students in Sri Lanka, especially during menstruation, we’ve selected 115 students from three rural schools in the Ratnapura District. Our initiative includes supplying sanitary napkins for 12 months, along with educational sessions on menstrual hygiene management to empower and educate these students.

Female students in Sri Lanka face challenges with hygiene and sanitation, particularly during menstruation due to the cost of sanitary products and cultural taboos. This leads to frequent school absences, contributing to high dropout rates among girls. To tackle this issue, we aim to provide menstrual hygiene education and sanitary pads to 115 students in three rural schools in Ratnapura District over one year.
